ASB attends this annual event where each ASB member is partnered up with a special-ed student at school. I absolutely love working with them because you see how their mindset is so optimistic and bright. I guess it’s just by instinct that whenever I’m around them, I somehow change up my whole attitude to a more cheerful one and I treat them as if I’m a teacher. Is it offending of me to do so? I always wonder. I don’t mean to view them as younger or less mature. They’re just so innocent and pure, and being in a society like this, I don’t want to come crashing down on their own little world. But when you just take a look, they’re really just teenagers, like us. In fact, some are even older than me. They’re just as capable. My partner just added me on Facebook, and it got me thinking, haha.
